Death notice of Amy Carson (1954 – 2021) – Milan, OH
LEWIS CENTER – Amy Jeanne Albright Carson, 67, resident at Lewis Center, died on Wednesday October 13, 2021 in Capri Gardens after battling multiple sclerosis for the past 13 years. However, we would like to honor her life by remembering how kind and generous she was. Amy was born September 15, 1954 in Norwalk, OH to the late Richard and Carol (Hamilton) Albright. As a young girl, she loved scrapbooking and spending time with family and friends, especially those who attended the annual Almont Summer Camp Retreat in Almont, MI. This place was a high point in Amy’s life as it is a camp grounded in Scottish family traditions and incorporates the Swedenborgian faith of which she was so proud and dedicated.
Amy graduated from Norwalk High School, then attended Urbana College, meeting her husband, the late Gary Carson, whom she would be married to for 38 years before her death. They settled in the Norwalk area, where Amy worked as an accountant at Albright Turkey Farms and raised their two children, whom she loved and supported in many projects. In her spare time, Amy enjoyed writing fiction novels, watching movies and listening to music. She had an infectious laugh and a caring nature.
Amy’s legacy is kept intact by her daughter, Carrie (Ben) Boucher of Blacksburg, VA, her son, Craig (Katie) Carson of Westerville, OH and by her grandchildren: Trent, Lillian, Natalie and Aiden Carson and Andrew and Henry Boucher. In addition to her children and grandchildren, Amy’s life and memories are carried by her sisters, Lynn (Steve) Saunders and Marcia (Jeff) Schwager; as well as nieces, Lauren Saunders, Emily (Alessandro) Saunders, Kelsey Schwager, Samantha Schwager and her nephew, Ryan Saunders in addition to extended family and friends.
