OUP launches a new brand image for digital transformation
Oxford University Press (OUP) has launched a new branding to support its ongoing digital transformation.
Under the new branding, the publisher will continue to produce material in its three main markets of research, education and English teaching.
In response to the pandemic and online learning, OUP has improved its digital platforms, increasing the number of digital resources available to support teaching, learning and research around the world. To support teachers during the transition to online learning, the publisher has updated major online education platforms, including Digital oxford, and organized virtual professional development events such as the Online English Language Teaching Conference (ELTOC), which attracted more than 50,000 participants.
“For many years now, we have been on a digital transformation journey, and although the demand for print formats remains, we expect to see an increasing reliance on digital tools and resources in all of our major markets,” said Nigel Portwood, CEO of OUP. “The new brand supports our business in these digital formats and indicates how we are re-imagining our role and intention to continue to evolve in the future, to meet the ever-changing needs of our customers and communities. “
OUP will host an online event “Forum for Educators: Learning Beyond Tomorrow” on Thursday, November 4 to explore topics such as strengthening digital literacy, the digital divide and ways to improve access to education.
