Vose Library Soup & Suspense Fundraiser Features Tess Gerritsen, Gerry Boyle – Knox County Village
UNION – The Vose, Soup & Suspense Library’s annual fall fundraiser, featuring authors Tess Gerritsen and Gerry Boyle, takes place on Wednesday, October 27. Buy a signed copy of Gerritsen and / or Boyle’s latest title for $ 5 each and pick it up between 6 a.m. and 6:45 a.m. For a suggested donation of $ 10, a cup of harvest soup prepared by Sterlingtown Public House can also be picked up during the same period. In partnership with Come Spring Food Pantry, Vose encourages all attendees to drop off a can of soup upon pickup. Zoom with the authors for free at 7 p.m.
Trained as a doctor, Gerritsen built a second career as a detective novelist. His 30 novels include the Rizzoli and Isles series, on which the “Rizzoli & Isles” television series is based. His tracks include “The Surgeon”, “Gravity”, “Playing with Fire” and “Choose Me”. His novels have been translated into 40 languages and more than 30 million copies have been sold worldwide. She lives in Midcoast Maine.
Boyle is the author of 15 detective novels, including the famous crime series Jack McMorrow. His latest McMorrow novel, “Random Act,” received the 2020 Maine Literary Award for detective fiction, the second time that a McMorrow novel has been chosen for this honor. Boyle is also the author of the Brandon Blake mystery series, starring a young Portland cop. His novels have been published in half a dozen languages. A former journalist, columnist and magazine editor, he lives in central Maine.
